  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, softened butter, and powdered sugar until well blended. Press the mixture into an 8×8-inch baking dish to form a crust.

  4. In a saucepan, whisk together whole milk, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and salt over medium heat until thickened.
  5. In another bowl, whisk the egg yolks and gradually mix in half a cup of the hot milk mixture while stirring continuously.
